Since mother and foal bonding is important, a mare and her foal should be posted here, to ensure that she nor the foal is messed with by the other horses until they have bonded tightly. The ultimate test of a bond is if the foal will follow the mare around without a lead rope on it. It is highly suggested to do this in the pastures first, then practice outside the pastures.
